Greetings List-members!
As I keep getting requests from subscribers for changes in
their account preferences, I've decided to send out this note
from time to time. It has been posted in the past, but is
often overlooked in the blizzard of spam we all receive! Please
review and act on this now, so you don't have a crisis at some later date.
As a general discipline, when you must change your email address, try to
approach the task with a plan. You'll need to advise your business and
friends, e-retail establishments, and your email lists to which you sub-
scribe. Following is an overview pertaining to Premium-RX.
If your email address changes! You can do it yourself!
Each subscriber was issued a personal webpage associated with this list
when they subscribed. Information about this page may be found in the
introductory email you got from the server when you subscribed. If that
was lost, your page can be found at:
http://ml.islandnet.com/mailman/options/premium-rx/your@currentemailaddress
(the tail end of the address being your email as used on the list).
You MUST use the email address with which you are currently subscribed the
URL. Once on your page, you can change the email address, change your
other options, suspend email delivery for holidays etc. or unsubscribe.
If you have forgotten your password, the server will send it to you!
Your password is required when making certain changes. At the bottom of your
personal page is an icon you can click to have the server email your
password to you. NOTE: this email will go to your current email address, not
your new one. Your new email address cannot be set until you have your
password.
Kafka would be proud-the order of operations here is not at all flexible; if
you get fouled up, start over, keeping notes on your progress if it helps.
In most cases, changes (whether you make them, or I make them) will be
confirmed with you via email from the server. This is to protect you
from some naughty person going to your personal page and mucking about.
BUT, if you ignore this confirmation email, the changes will NOT be made.
Neither John Ceresole (John-UK), nor John Collins (John-US) are able to
change your password, as we don't know what any of them are. Even the server
has secrets.
Thanks!!! John Collins and John Ceresole, moderators, Premium-RX
