I have seen both 24VDC and AC Power supply units used in Telefunken
E-Series Receivers. Perhaps the 24VDC units were made for mobile
operation. 24VDC's usually have a Military Circular Power Connectors.

I think there are some sources of modules for these receivers in Germany and Holland but I don't know where. I have an extra, possibly non-working,
AC power module which is for the E1700 (stored some place !).

In E1700 they used very fine single strand wire which does break if you
play with them. You would then have a hard time finding out where it
came from. I have serviced couple of these receivers and you need to
have lots of patience. I used wire marking to identify what belongs to
where before starting to remove any of the wires. I am not too sure but I think they do have some "faint" color coding. Perhaps better to take several digital pictures before repair attempt. Also I use magnifying glass to see things better and make notes of what i see accompanied by a
simple diagram drawn on paper. Whatever will help to bring things back to
original settings.

It is always a good idea to get a copy of the manual before attempting any
repairs. I think Telford Electronics in the UK used to have these sets
so they may have some parts and manuals.

Good luck and if there is anything i can do let me know.
