Hi all,

an IIP2 of +42dBm would mean that for 2 signals with S9+40dBm (-33dBm) you would get a second
order intermodulation product of -108dBm wich is approx. S3,
for 2x S9+50dBm you'll get IM2 products of S 6,5,
for 2x S9+60dBm you'll get IM2 products of ~ S 8 (-68dBm).
To get back to premium RX's,the Telefunken E1800 has an IIP2 of +65dBm (like the Orion) w/o
preselector and +85dBm with preselector.
The IC-7800's IIP2 was measured by ARRL with +98dBm w/o preselector on 20m.
My results w/o preselector were +112dBm on 20m and +104dBm on 15m,
with preselector +114dBm on 20m and +122dBm on 15m.

And 28 volts. Yeow. That's one tough RF environment.
