[Premium-Rx] SE-3 Improvement - Sideband Selectable feature add on (SSSD)

I wanted to improve the perfomance and capability of SE-3
Sync Detector by adding Sideband Selectable feature. With
this addition, the SE-3 will have 3 Sych Detection modes:
USB, LSB, DSB (already there). Listener can chose between
any one of these 3 modes and still be able to use all the
existing standard features of SE-3.

In addition, this feature will add an LSB/USB switch capability
when the detector is in SSB mode.

The result is great and substantially improved Sideband
rejection such as splatter and other interferance.

One of the coolest features of having both a Sideband
Selectable and Off-Center Locking is to be able to tune
all the way to the edge of the channel and select the
sideband right there. This helps improve Weak Signal
reception/listening. SE-3 can go all the way to the edge
of the channel but was missing the Sideband Select.

By adding one phase shifter, an extra SA602AN Mixer,
couple of transistor amplifiers and most importantly an
Audio Phase Shift Network ( PSN ), I was able to get
an SSSD ( Sideband Selectable Synch Det ). This greatly
improves listening quality and overall capability of the unit.
I think it basically becomes the Ultimate Synch Detector.

I wonder if anyone else ever tried this on the SE-3 !...

I never attempted this as building Audio Phase Shift Networks
is lots of soldering and tedious work. But there is an
alternative. A PSN unit can be purchased and it is a high
precision Hybrid module built for this purpose. Once you
have the PSN issue resolved, the rest of the circuitry is
easy and can be built in a couple of hours.

I am sure the cuircuit that I used can be improved as well.
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated on this
subject.

If there is any interestd to build this circuit, I can email
Circuit and most importantly where to purchase the PSN.

Regards,
Ahmet
