Hey Geoff:

Sorry, but reading your comments on Tabasco make me laugh out loud. We
have two large dogs that are not repelled by _anything_ we have tried
putting on an object, including Tabasco and various other varieties of
Capsacium-laced mixtures. Our vet just about fell over after coating
his hands in an expensive gel specially formulated to keep animals
from biting or licking and having our older dog lick it off like ice
cream.

The only thing I've found that even begins to repel them is lemon
juice, but it's not viscous enough to slather on to coax :-)

I'm a bit concerned about the whole business myself since I have a
long run of RG-8 laying on the ground in our backyard, which is
neither cleared nor gravelled.
