I'd say cut 'em a break.  If I were in charge of an auction site with
probably 10,000 bogus listings on it, I'm not sure I wouldn't just leave it
up to Dr. Darwin to sort out the winners from the losers.

That's actually quite interesting that they called you to warn you.  I'd
have never guessed they would bother doing that.  I trust the "eBay Fraud
Team" just fine, but I sure wouldn't count on them to warn buyers in all
cases like this.
