Some information of on the DR333 can be found at
http://www.kf6c.com/DR333/dr333.htm.

I did not keep a working model of this radio so it is not possible for
me to do any tests.

I may still have the source code for the software however I am not
setup to view my archives at this time. I will check what I have as soon
as this situation is remedied. If there is any, I will add it to the web
site so it can be downloaded.

My memory will need a serious jog to answer many questions on this radio
but I will do what I can and add anything that comes up to the web site.

If you have a good photo of the radio I would appreciate a copy. I have
some non working originals but they have the Comer Communications
markings on.

Subject: [Premium-Rx] Dymek DR-333: I need some help

Dear members,

I bought a Dymek DR-333 and I need some help with this radio. I bought
just the radio and two floppy disks which may contain the original
software from Dymek. So far I do not own an instruction manual, a
circuit diagram nor a service manual (I hope that I do not need one, but
read first and see later):

First I tried the demo-version of ERGO 4 and I recognized that the radio
was not able to use the lower sideband (LSB) in a correct way. It seems
to me as if not just the kind of demodulation is switched from AM or USB
to LSB but the frequency is shifted away from the carrier center,
shifted away more than it is needed. So I am not able to listen to the
lower sideband at the frequency I want.

I tried one of the files from the discs too, named DR333.com. Again I
was not able to listen to the lower sideband of a standard AM
transmission, although this software seems to shift the frequency to
another point... at least it souns in another way. I could check this
with an attenuator and a rf-generator to find out which frquency it
really receives in LSB.

I made this tests under Windows XP home edition with an APEN USB-RS232
converter and with another computer under Windows 2000 with a real
serial port: all behaves the same with this slight mentioned difference.

So far this is my biggest problem. I would appreciate to receive some
good hints, like a list of commands and a recommendation how to check
this radio for example, maybe by using a standart terminal program (from
Windows?, I use XP) which sends certain commands to check all
functions...

I hope that there is at least one member who would like to help me.

God bless you all!
With greetings from Germany

Andreé DD3LY
