[Premium-Rx] BR RSS-5 Receiver

Just a quick note regarding what a BR RSS-5 is...

It's an HF receiver that also doubles as a Spectrum Monitor.

As a receiver, it demodulates AM, LSB, and USB, and tunes 2 to 30 MHz.

As a Spectrum Monitor it scans the entire 2-30 MHz range (or a
user-selectable subset thereof), and then displays on its CRT a "window"
showing a user-selected subset of the overall frequency range. (If memory
serves, the window is 256 KHz wide, and displays the spectrum quantized into
2 KHz-wide discrete "slots" - so the display actually looks like a bar graph
(vertical).) The window can be slid across the entire frequency range using
the tuning knob.

Because the RSS-5 actually uses its receiver to scan with while in Spectrum
Monitor mode, the user cannot listen to anything while its scanning.
However, when scanning is completed the user can then place it into receive
mode and, using the tuning knob, change the frequency (while listening) and
looking at the stored scan information sliding across the CRT. If there's a
big peak on the display, for example, just tune to it and you'll hear the
signal it represents.

I also have a pair of BR 3080 Displays. The 3080 is essentially a control
panel (with CRT) that allows both an RCS-5 and an RSS-5 to be controlled
remotely. One works, and one is a parts unit. Cables for one setup.
