Sorry John,
I think one hunk will take care of my R2307 and the other a couple RA6830s.
The company sells all kinds of cool finger stock and EMI gasket material.
I didn't open the package but looks about .020 inches thick.
The guy who called the meeting got everything in the box except the box of
cores
And window material. Apps guy promised to bring me a box next time he is in
the area
And said he would get me some R.A.M. for our bag of tricks. 350 by 350 mesh
sounds like my
HP8640B window. I will need to make a clamp to hold it in place. I think I
still have some able stick in the freezer used to glue thick film hybrids in
cases. I collected some scraps when I was at my past job. XYL may have deep
sixed though...

Hi guys--
I've had great luck building similar display shields--I've used 350 x 350
mesh, which is like silk stocking material...get it pinched between the
stock display "glass" and a this sheet of plastic...overlap the
sides...pinch/fasten the screen to the metal front panel around the display.
The Cubic 3030 is the perfect candidate, as it has sandwiched metal panels
to pinch the screen. Other rx's and test gear may need mini-emi fingers or
conductive adhesive. In any case, this approach works great!
Frank, did you get enough shields for everyone? So you can share with the
others??
