Hi Jeff,
Certainly sounds as if R-7's were branded from both Drake MSR-1's and
MSR-2's. This is
strange for a company to sell two different appearing receivers, but
such is the case.
Guess this explains my confusion when first getting this receiver as
to which Drake
model it was.

I do have a PDF of the MSR-2 manual I can send you Monday Almost 21
MB, so can't
send from this dial up line. I expect it should be close enough to be
helpful if you can't
find a MSR-1 manual. You might also keep an eye out for a DSR-1,
which was said to
be about the same receiver as the MSR-1 except without long wave coverage.
