hi All,
I've been reviewing all my H mode mixer stuff and found an interesting
passage on filters. One article read a saw filter 
will handle more power than a standard crystal filter. I asked an expert
this when I worked at Andersen Labs hoping to raid the junk box for a cool
roofing filter. I was told that above plus 10 dBM input at elevated
temperatures you can blow the transducers off the quartz. The article read
the quartz is less stressed in a saw filter but it didn't read the
transducer becomes the weak link.I put plus 20 dBM to a Racal roofing filter
and didn't break it yet...... Anybody out there have any comments. It looks
like dual roofing filters with quad hybrids is my next thing to try for the
hot rod. fc
