The fets are biased at 30-45 mA per fets.No source resistors.I do not have the needed equipment to make the Ip and spectral purity of the output but I could switch between the two mixers and the H 4*cp651 was supirior to the original collins configuration.I built it 4 years ago and using it today as my main op. radio.
I got good results using U 310 power fets too.

Hi Baruch,
I wonder if you put any bias on the gates and did you use any source resistors? fc

Hi all!
I managed to build a mixer using 4 crysalonics CP651.
The mixer is working in my Rockwell-Collins 718U-4 radio in place of the 3x2n4417 collins house number fets.
It took a while to get it all o work but the results are wee worth the effort .
I got my fets on eBay for 4.95 per 4 !
Best wishes 73's
