[Premium-Rx] WJ 8615 Error Codes

Hi All,
I have a Watkins & Johnson 8615D VHF/UHF receiver that has had a few 
problems over the past few years.
The most recent fault is that it starts flashing up "Error 221" and 
"Error 222" on the display after it has been on for a while.
This starts off intermittently and eventually it displays one of these 
two codes constantly and all the front panel controls lock up.
If I leave the top cover off the radio this happens a lot less 
frequently. I have noticed that the synth section gets quite hot and it 
is not in the air flow from the fan. The only idea I have is that the 
error codes are related to the synth loosing lock, but without any 
documentation this is a total guess.
