[Premium-Rx] HP 3586C as Rx ?

I think it would be a great project.  Another idea
would be to modify the frequency display with a freq
offset so SSB would read correctly.  I have three HP
3586C's and have been very impressed with their
quality.  I just got a copy of the operator and
service manuals on CD from Stuart Landau.  His email
is D3R12CAV at aol.com.  The majority of the problems
seem to be caused by a battery that corrodes on the 5V
 regulator board.  ASAP remove the battery!!!!!!!  It
is only used for storing multiple setups.
