Hi Craig
I have a trio of WJ-8940B and a WJ-8999 - these are measuring recievers for
EMC and Tempest - designed to "look" into 1 volt and more into their front
ends - their protection is 2 diodes connected in parallel cathode to anode
and anode to cathode - let through voltage 0.7 volts or thereabouts. This
protective diode pair is in a neat SMA -plugged unit about 1/2 " long - can
let you have a photo if you so need. The 8999 has an N-Type protector for
it's 1 to 12.4 GHz frequency range.
Hope that is a help.
Best regards
