The SDR-14 has a software switch for the filtered preamp input which would 
cover DC - 30 Mhz.  The WJ8604 with the FE option would give you coverage to 
2 GHz.  Also the 8604/8607 has another option for a selectable wide band IF 
output which would be ideal.
