[Premium-Rx] questions re the Rockwell 95S-1

Depends on what features you're looking for, I suppose. I had a 95S-1 for
awhile, but sold it to fund other amusements. It is a very interesting
piece of gear, architecturally, but frankly, I like the R&S ESM 500A I have
now better at 1/3 the price.

Since there's no built-in user interface, the 95S-1 makes sense if you want
to put a whole bunch of them in a rack and run them remotely. It should
prove to be a VERY reliable receiver over time, since there is literally
nothing to align in the entire system except the master OCXO.

For casual-to-serious listening on a one-on-one receiver-to-operator basis,
heck, I always used my IC-R7000 more.

I did write some basic control software in C for the 95S-1, if you (or
anyone else) would like a copy.
