[Premium-Rx] Cubic R-3080 Questions

I've been searching the internet for additional
information on a nice Cubic R-3080 I just purchased.
I found some R-3030 posts a while back in the
archives that were helpful...

When reading the manual, interestingly, I find my
R-3080 looks identical to the MS connector version
rear pictured except that in the upper left (looking
at rear) of the back there are 4 labeled additional
BNC connectors that are not pictured in the manual.
Two are labeled "1st LO Out / In with the second pair
being "2nd LO Out / In" ... these were obviously added
by Cubic to fullfill "someone's" specification. Ever
seen this before ? Any idea why this was done.... ease
of service ?

Also.... All I see for audio output is the volume
controlled phone jacks on the front and rear. Do
these have enough power to drive a speaker ? There
appears to be a 600 Ohm line out (pins M and N) on the
rear 19 pin MS audio connector not controlled by the
volume knob so I suppose the best bet is to feed this
into an external amplifier.

This one has the RS232C board .... any control
software
available for these ?

Thanks

Mike
