[Premium-Rx] 3030 stuck in audio mute

Hi John,
Yes, The radio is in manual gain mode but I can't seem to change modes once
there. I suppose the data was stored wrong or it was random. I had 1 channel
set to 71 MHz which caused a synthesizer fault. I looked at a new 3050
module last night and all channels were set to 10 MHz. Once you understand
the problem it is easy to RCL a good channel and load valid data in the
crazy one.

I have been thinking about the MC1350 set wide open in the detector module.
Maybe Cubic did that
to handle stronger signals. Maybe it would be better to attenuate the signal
to the detectors
not to upset the S meter path ???? This would reduce the noise and preserve
the S meter function.

Hi Frank and group,

Check the contents of the channel you selected -- actually, you are in
manual gain control-the manual gain, is adjusted to zero--thus no agc
display and no audio (or RF either). Not sure what "feature" of the radio
causes this channel content, or perhaps the channel contents were programmed

for some odd reason (by previous owner). Remember, this receiver remembers
with elephant-like quality and quantity.

regards

John Collins
