Hi Frank & all,

Yes, the commands do differ, although they are similar. In particular,
Cubic has included several features using the GPIB serial and parellel
polling command modes to relieve a control program from having to wait for a
reply to a status inquiry or an acknowledgement of a command. There are a
few differences among the actual command and the command string structures
as well. I've looked at the feasibility of having two command lookup tables
and a few GPIB maintenance routines and it would not be terribly difficult
to have two 3030 and 3030A setups when installing a receiver into a software
system.

Search the manual on Premium-RX Reference....I think this stuff is outlined
in there.

regards

John Collins
