The GPIB commands for the WJ 8618 are in the manual so I assume it would be
the same for the 8716.

I have written a program using LabView for both the WJ8618 via GPIB and the
Harris 2368/590A via serial. With LabView (6.1 and 7) you can also turn this
into a TCP/IP accessed remote control program via a browser.

Just bought 4 perfect ISA NI GPIB boards on ebay for $75 total so ISA boards
are cheap. PCI are about $200.

Hi John,

I have written software to control my HP8753 network analyser via the GPIB
interface, with good success. My software is also DOS based. It drives an HP
82335 ISA bus card in the PC. These cards are relatively easy to get on
ePay, and are not too expensive (USD 40.00 typical). I am sure it would not
be too difficult to write something to control a receiver (it would have to
be easier than a network analyser!). I have a WJ8716 with a GPIB interface,
but I have not yet got around to trying to locate the GP-IB command
documentation. Do you happen to have the command set for the WJ or would you
happen to know of a source?
