[Premium-Rx] Racal 6790/GM Bite Error

I just got my second 6790 in two months.  This unit is in very good to
excellent cosmetic condition and has ISB (My first is good cosmetically and
has the A6A1 board and is a slightly higher serial number).  The second unit
came with a copy of the manual and the original shipping carton!

 

However, all is not well.  I get a Bite error code of 80 on the second unit.
I don't see this code in the manual.  Any clues?  And, I would like to
replace the mode display which is muddy - any spares out there?
