[Premium-Rx] Racal 6790 and 1792 board swap possible?

Folks,
I have trouble with a 6790/GM. It gets stuck while BITEing. When I leave
the microprocessor board and frontal it runs the BITE OK, but after
connecting all other boards it fails miserably. It even does not respond
to the typical keyboard commands... nor it shows up any BITE error number.
I wonder if it will be possible to exchange the filter board of the 6790
with one from a 1792, just to check the remaining of the boards and
zeroing where the problem lies.
Inquiring minds wanna know.
