  Subject: [Premium-Rx] Mason Enginering Model A-2CS ???

I own a Mason A-3B. It's a suitcase receiver with built in spectrum analyzer. The whole thing runs on 14 small flashlight batteries. Coverage is from DC to daylight (10 Khz to 1 GHz). Sensitivity is quite good since it was made to receive with small antennas. It will overload easily however with normal antennas. The A-3B seems to have been designed with special emphasis on looking for bugs on FM subcarrier frequencies since there is a special LF receiver included for that purpose. It was sold with some other surplus items from a location in Virginia. I expect it came from the CIA or NSA.

  Hey guys

I can't find anything in Osterman or Googling...
Anyone have more info on it? Doesn't look that sensitive and I wonder why info is so scarce?

  It's at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5743380351&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
  over in the boot country.
  tnx
