I own both radios and essentially the R-2368 is an RF-590A the
differences are very subtle including the standard filter
configurations, TCXO stability and differences in the EPROM that
controls the Digital Preselector. It is not a cheapened version of the
RF-590A. If you look at them side by side they are essentially
identical except for some firmware and slight circuit differences in the
digital preselector. The R-2368 was designed to be used in a collocated
high power RF environment typically on board ship hence the differences
in the Digital Preselector. I have the manuals for both radios and the
complete schematics and have looked at them very closely. Two years
ago I was very fortunate to acquire a late production RF-590A that was
essentially new in the box. The only downside is that Harris has a $250
minimum order requirement and the parts are EXPENSIVE!! .

Subject: [Premium-Rx] Differences between Harris RF-590A and
R-2368/URR???

According to the Harris website, it seems the R-2368 is an economical
version of the RF-590A. When comparing the specs, the R-2368 seems to
have less sensitivity. Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks,
