Well, finally purchased a gen-u-wine Premium Receiver, a EAC Radiomarine 
R7, which is a rebranded Drake MSR-1 (I'm informed elsewhere on the 
net), and no relation to the Drake R-7. Got it at the Palomar ARC yearly 
auction for an embarrassing low price, $70. Pretty sure I'm the only 
person there with info on the receiver, as I found I'v had a factory 
manual for the MSR-2, and a badly faded xerox of the MSR-1 manuals for 
many years. Could use a more readable MSR-1 manual if anyone can point 
me at one. Receiver works great except for an AVC problem when the input 
level gets above 10,000 uV.

Greg signed me up for membership on this list based on my ownership of a
Comer DSP 100 and residence in San Diego county, but no longer having a
Windows 3.1 computer with ISA bus slots to make it work, I didn't really 
feel like a full member  :)

Having mostly owned lesser receivers for the past 45 years, my main
interest has been receiver modification, but I don't think thats 
something I'll need to do to the R7.
