Just got a Rohde & Schwarz EK47 receiver today. Unfortunately, it did not
come
with a manual, so i do not know how to wire it for 115 VAC operation. Can
anyone on the list advise on how to do this? Better yet, anyone know where
to
obtain a copy of a manual?
Thanks,

Hi Paul, congratulations on your EK-47. Normally these are wired for 220V
operation in Germany and probably other countries in Europe. You will need to
remove the top cover and locate the power transformer on the left hand side near
the rear of the chassis. There are 3 terminal strips around the transformer to
the left side, right side and front side. The terminal strip facing the front
side has the taps for line voltage. You will need to strap contacts a5-a7 for
125V operation. If it is now strapped for 220V operation there will be a
strap across a4-a7. Just change one side of the strap from terminal a4 to terminal
a5 so the strap will be across terminals a5-a7 and you will be set to go for
125V. Also for 125V operation the fuses in the back should be for 2 amp
rating. If it is currently set up for 220V the fuses will be 1 amp. 73 Todd Roberts
