The same scam runs on fine old cameras. I missed a Nikon M Rangefinder 
on Ebay recently which went for about $4000 and a scammer in Spain 
offered me one of eight "new in the box" he said he had for $1400 or all 
eight of them for $8000. I replied to him that he should take them to 
Southeby's Nikon Room in London where they would sell at auction for at 
least $20,000 each. He did not write back.
