Hi All,
I wonder if anybody out there knows the second IF frequency of the very rare
Racal RA6840. I have located a third second mixer configuration called the
Very High Dynamic range second mixer. It is the same size as the high
dynamic range
mixer board used in the RA6830 D.F. units. The tuned circuits and diplexer
after the second mixer appear to be 20 times higher than 455 KHz.
I want to modify it to work in my 6830 hot rod. I just found a board missing
the filter
and only have a schematic. The gain distribution looks better having less
gain ahead 
of the mixer and more gain after with a better amplifier and yes more L.O.
drive. fc
