[Premium-Rx] RF-590 Mute question

Hello group,

Does anyone have any experience at successfully muting the RF-590 while running moderate power, say 100 watts? I've tried EXT Mute TB-16 to ground and the RF continually breaks through. I've looked closely at my shielding and grounding - RF is still getting into the front end, however.

I'm not running a preselector - but this is not a battleship or a harsh RF environment?

On another note - has anybody made any further progress on a program for computerized control of the 590 (not the 590A)?
