Fellow Members:

Joining us from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Todd Roberts (WD4NGG) has been a 'LowFER' since the early 70's.  His interest in this portion of the spectrum was generated when he was introduced to some VLF and LF government-surplus receivers.  He soon realized "the requirements for weak-signal LF reception include a quiet, stable receiver with a high-precision readout, high sensitivity and  narrow cw selectivity choices."  

Over the years his interest in high-quality receivers has continue, as personified by his collection which includes: Harris RF-590, Rockwell-Collins HF-2050, Cubic R2411, Watkins-Johnson 8716, as well as some earlier Rohde & Schwarz, Racals, Marconis and others. 

Todd found our List by doing web searches on quality receivers.... naturally the Premium-Rx List continued to come up with the answers.
