ok  I got this.. well I spent 4 years in your wonderful country, and loved
every day I was their.. albeit in between tours in and back to RAF
Lakenheath from DaNang..  and I truly loved the black market in the UK.. I
was making more dough than Flight qualified Majors and I was just a buck
sergeant.. but the prices for American whisky and cigars was great, then one
day I learned my first hard lesson about  "DeValuation "  as my buyer lived
in Manchester and was very convient to pay me in Sterling.. that one night I
went to bed,  the Pound was 2.80 against the USD  .. in the morning it was
2.40  .. 15% or so percent was a big hit..  but I learned.. I brought back
more cigars and better whisky..  prices went up..  I made more..  I had a
business partner in Saudi Arabia in the early 90s and that was the first
time back since 69'   I still loved it, as of course we had to always xfer
at Heathrow.. so it gave me a chance to spend a few days and get out and
explore, plus my partner had a really nice flat/ apartment down by the St
James Hotel.  ..  in 98' I took my family back over for 2 weeks.. I did it
all wrong.. now my daughter wants to do a full semester in London.. plus the
summer.. oh well we will see..  glad you have found us here and hope we can
make it interesting for you..

Coming from West Yorkshire myself, I can tell you - what with the Black

plague, Wars of the Roses, and Agincourt - not much time left for an Alamo
situation to develop.

In any case, the whole of West Yorkshire is only 85 acres, and you can walk
around it in 10 minutes...
