Hi,
Those with Cubic R3030(A) receivers who run in CW mode to get variable
filter selection with BFO will have noticed that IF offset (filter
centering) has to be set manually. You'll doubtless have noticed that the
receiver resets the IF offset to Zero every time a new frequency is entered
via the "enter" button. Thus, every time you change frequency, you have to
reset the IF offset.
I have noticed that newly keyed or dialed frequencies may be entered by
pressing the "cancel" button and that the IF offset does NOT reset.
This substantially eases operation, particularly if you need to leave the
frequency menu mode to vary AGC time constant or bandwidth.
regards
John Collins
