Hi Richard
The set was from ZLW - the Wellington maritime station that was
closed down a few years ago. The chap I bought the set from bought
it when they closed down and I it's been sitting on a shelf in his
garage for several years. I'm sure it will have been in 100% working
order when he bought it.
What's the story with the battery on the CPU board? I gather they
can be a disaster. I've had a quick look at the one on my set, and
it is nowhere near as bad as some PC CMOS batteries I've seen, but
looks to be heading that way. I think I be looking to replace it?
If so, where's the best place to get a replacement?
Cheers, Chris
