The Rohde & Schwarz EK07 is one of the best (if not THE best) receivers made
in the tube era. A good, perfectly working specimen is worth between 500 and
800 Euros. In fact, using it side-by-side with one of the "premium"
receivers as they're defined by this list, the EK07 will excel, considering
its age and technology.

The Marconi Marine Apollo is a ship's main receiver, built with earlier
solid-state technology. Frequency coverage is 15 KHz to 30 MHz. I don't know
the current value, but judging from similar purpose receivers, of the same
vintage by other manufacturers, it's probably worth around 400-500 Euros.

I own a Rohde & Schwarz EK 07/2 receiver and I'm very impressed with its
performance. I also own a Telefunken E104 KW/4 which is a competitor of the
EK07, with equally impressive performance (and dimensions...).

I have a Marconi Atalanta receiver, which is the last generation of ship's
main receivers with tubes - before the Apollo - and it's a very good
performer. I also like the way it looks...

A friend of mine has been offered these two receivers, but he and
also the potential seller are unsure about what the commercial value
of the two could be. Any suggestions ?

And, as I am considering to convince my friend to transfer to me the
Marconi Apollo :-), what are your opinions about this radio?
Don't think it can be considered a Premium-Rx, but is it worth allocating
the table space it requires ? Thanks for any suggestions.
