[Premium-Rx] More Diversity Reception Approaches

Some of you may already have noticed that the audio clips in the Grayland
DXpedition PPT presentation (dxing.info site) will not play.

I anticipated that Mika Mikalainen at the dxing.info site would be posting
the ZIP file I sent him, which includes properly linked MP3s. However, he
surprised me by putting the presentation itself on the web. He definitely
needs to relink the audio clips using the "via FTP site" option of "insert
sounds & movies from file..." if he wants the PowerPoint presentation to
work properly via the web.

I emailed him about this yesterday, but no answer yet. I think he and his
family may be on a Labor Day Weekend trip away from home (he moved to the US
from Finland a few weeks ago). So, until he fixes the PPT audio or changes
the presentation to the zipped file I sent him, it'll remain the same.

Premium-RX members are free to download the ZIP package from the URL below,
then run the PPT on your own computer. Then the MP3 files of DX audio will
play properly.

There are a couple of other articles there either by or featuring Pr-Rx
list members. The first is a new addition to the equipment page called
"Rack-mount Equipment Cases for DXers" by Pr-Rx member Guy Atkins. Its about
4.5 megs, but well-worth the download. Also on the front page of the
dxing.info site, http://www.dxing.info/ Guy Atkins has "DXing from the Upper
Left: The Grayland DXpeditions in Sound and Pictures." This is a wonderful
article with photos of a number of Pr-Rx list members. Unfortunately, the
only camera there when list Founder Greg Bailey graced Grayland BROKE, so
you will miss his "Aging Surfer" good looks.
