Gary is correct about this for many of the manuals. The problem is that
there are quite a number of items of interest to Premium types which require
entry of a login granted only on request. Enter receiver in the TM title
section and all the receiver manauals newer than 1959 will display a login
screen. The login registration info makes it look like we won't get to look
at some of the neat newer stuff...
Ah well...

Spencer,
This may or may not answer your question.
I just clicked on the link given below, entered 8640 in the title, clicked
the version I wanted, and downloaded the pdf file.
I was not asked to login, register, etc.
This could be a very handy site indeed!

Can US civilians (read: taxpayers) get access to the documents protected by
logins by registering? Has anyone tried? Or do you really need to be a
federal employee or contractor?
Thanks.

A terrific source for 8640B manuals (and lots of other good ones) you
can download is http://www.logsa.army.mil/etms/find_etm.cfm. Type
8640B in the "TM Title Search" field and you can download two
different versions of the 8640B manual, a complete parts list, and a
calibration procedure. However, you do need a browser with 128-bit
encryption.
