    Hi All,
    We all love the performance of the HP8640B but
    then there is the repair issue. I bought a couple broken units off ebay
to repair the cracked gears
in one of my units. I started on a winter Friday night
and by late Saturday I had 3 working units and a hanger
queen. I found them very easy to work on and swapping
modules was actually very easy. Extenders would help
for component level repairs. Deoxit is the best PM tool
when servicing a generator. The early units have switch
assemblies more friendly when transmission work is required.     fc

this version mostly because there are no copyright issues, unlike with HP
