[Premium-Rx] List Policy Regarding Selling of Equipment

To all Members-

Please remember that the buying and selling of equipment is not in accordance with List Policy.

If you desire to sell an item and would like to share the information to the membership, I would suggest paraphrasing the following: 'I would like to sell my Cubic 3030 receiver, please contact me off line if you are interested'. Please note, pricing, location, condition, pros/cons, etc. are omitted.

This is a long standing policy, one that has been verbally dissected a number of times. The policy is justified on the fact that many members of our Premium-Rx List are directly involved with the commerical sales of equipment (Murphy's Surplus, Universal Radio, Toronto, to name a few). Allowing some members to post items, would mean allowing ALL members to post. Thus we have typically limited the use of the List for the exchange of technical information.

To those who have posted equipment recently, please do not take this personally. It is my fault for not posting the policy, and repeating it in a more timely fashion. It is presently included in the letter I send all new members, and I can see it should be mentioned in our open forum.

Thank you for your consideration-
