Surprising as it may sound...
I agree entirely:-)
It was only the request for smaller file sizes on the PremRX web site that
prompted my suggestion in the first place:-)
I must admit that, other than BAMA, I've seen very little use made of djvu.
Having finally got a broadband connection here, after a lonnnnng wait, it
doesn't make that much difference to me now anyway but I've still got a real soft
spot for it though, as you might have noticed:-)
I was hooked from the day I saw it compress a jpg file to a much smaller size
than I'd ever seen before, whether it be with pdf or winzip.
Far more important though is the scanning resolution used to start with.
I bought a piece of audio kit a year or so ago and the seller spent several
hours scanning a copy of the manual for me.
It was such low resolution as to be almost useless....
but I couldn't be so unkind as to tell him:-)
