Seems a reasonable first step. I would suggest Model & serial & configuration
codes.

IMO, the 590A will program as the 590 does, but the converse is not true. From
what I've been told, the 590 required HARP, the 590A will take HARP or some
other protocol. The hardware level is certainly 422 and may also be 232 or
parallel. My manual does not match my Rx in the synthesizer section.
