[Premium-Rx] Sierra 303B selective level meter

Hi All
I don't suppose this qualifies as anything like a premium receiver but just 
hoping someone on the list might have some experience of this one.
I've fixed a fault on the RF tuning module but find that operating the LOCK 
button, (AFC), pulls it well off tune. It's consistent and I suspect that 
somebody has been tweaking it during a past attempt to fix the problem I 
sorted.
There's several presets in the module and, without tracing out the schematic, 
it's not obvious what any of them do so I'm reluctant to just dive in blind.
If anyone is familiar with this unit I'd be grateful for any information.
