[Premium-Rx] OPTION C DIGITAL REFRESHED DISPLAY APPENDIX C

Hi,

  My 8617A book shows the DRD as being in appendix F.  The books description of the DRD is "The DRD is an 
option available on the 8616A and 8617A.  With this option incorporated, the receiver's microprocessor is capable 
of providing a signal strength versus frequency plot on the signal monitor, an external display or an external plotter. 
The horizontal and vertical information is made available to the external equipment via the X and Y out connectors 
on the rear panel."

  The manual shows the board in any of the A5 option slots.  The schematic shows pin 6 as H in and pin 4 as H 
out, pin 12 as V in and pin 10 as V out.  This is how the signals would flow if the DRD is not selected.

  BTW my book is dated 7/80.  Appendix C in this book cover the REF option (high stability reference generator).
