Hi All ...
Some members have tried to post messages with large attached files. Two
recent messages each had 1Mb attachments.
Just to clarify, the Premium-Rx list server is set to refuse posts larger
than 40K. This is actually quite large, but should accommodate most posts.
For those of us with slow dial-up connections (like me) a large unwanted
file ties up the computer for quite awhile so it's annoying. Some list
subscribers have small "In" mailboxes and such messages effectively stop
their email access.
More important - to Greg and me at least ;>) - the $$ cost of the server
depends on bandwidth. If the two 1Mb messages had been accepted they'd have
been sent to all 236 list members. Our bandwidth for the month would be
shot completely and the list would go dark until some more money was pumped in!
If you have resources you'd like to make available, EITHER post a message
about them to the list and ask people to email you off list for copies, OR
send the item to me or to Greg and we'll arrange for it to be available for
a time. I'll then post the URL to the list and those interested can
download it.
Thanks!!
Jan Skirrow, Greg Bailey
