	Hi All,
Thank You all for the cavity comments.
I swapped it out from a unit with cracked gears
which becomes my hanger queen. The
drive end of the cavity is loose so I will
remove the two pots and try to clean it.
I still want to mount it in my home brew RX
as a LO source. My second Ebay unit
arrived Friday. This unit had a different
problem. It is late production and very
clean inside. It was sold as dead for $100.
The 5 volt led wasn't lit when powered.
Turned out to be a dirty connection blocking
base drive to the 5 volt pass transistor.
Easy fix and the unit came right up working
with only a couple bulbs out. I'm thinking of
using LEDS with built in resistors. This one
is too nice to be a hanger queen.
The deader they are the easier the fix. fc
