Aren't NiMh batteries much less prone to leak acid than NiCd ?
Nowadays most if not all digital photocameras do not ship anymore
with NiCd batteries, but with NiMh (or even Li-Ion), with an added
benefit in terms of mAHr. And the chargers for NiCd and NiMh are
mostly compatible (not so for Li-Ion).
