Regarding sourcing of fluorescent displays and suitable power supplies, look
in the current Jameco catalog, page 34. The have what you need. I did this
mod to one of my HF-2050 receivers and I am considering doing the other

By the way Al Tipsword has written excellent control software for this
radio. Check out his website at: http://w6ger.gotnet.net/

If you don't find the HF-2050 software there, e-mail Al for the latest
download site. If you like the software as much as I do, please give him a
