Is anyone interested in a vlf-ferrite antenna? It is a somehow giant thing:
I remember the ferrite rod to be about 1m long and about 5cm in diameter.
The coil of the rod is connected with a switchable Capacitor to form a
parallel circuit, which is tuneable from 100kHz down to 9kHz. The antennas
LC-circuit is amplified by a low noise amplifier built with two ICs and
buffered with a typical MOS-FET-coaxial-driver IC named LHxxx. The antenna
works very fine and seems to be a handmade professional type from a company
here named Pfitzner which often built things for the authorities...
Anyone interested in details or even in the whole antenna may send a direct
mail to: andree.knott at t-online.de
