I am replying to 'all' with this message. I will send you a post with an attachment pix of say 50K, is that what you want?
Greg

A Good Morning to the Experimental Group ...
This is the first test of the new Premium-Rx list to a small group of list members.
Please let me know if you get this post.
Greg: Would you try to send a message to premium-rx at ml.skirrow.org that is longer than 25kB? Anything with an embedded pix should do it - and tell me what happens? I have set the max message length to 25kB which should be more than enuff for normal posts. It also will make it easier for us to run this list within budget! With the number of members we have, it would only take a few 1MB messages/month to bust the bank.
At the moment the "homepage" for the list contains only the info that explains the list (plagiarized from the original page) and provides info for would-be subscribers. I shall modify this in the next few weeks to include more of the info from the old homepage.
For the moment the old list archives will remain where they are, and archives from here on will be accessible from the new list's homepage. Appropriate info on this (and a pointer to the old list archives) will be added to the homepage later.
Greg Bailey will be listed as co-administrator of this new list, along with myself. We'll likely split the work with Greg continuing to vet new member requests, and me dealing with the mechanics of the list.
As I don't know yet what "messages" the list server sends out in response to user requests, I can't be sure what more needs to be done.
I expect that there will be changes over the coming weeks as I become more familiar with the many options on the list server.
There may be an additional test message once I see what happens to this one!
Thanks for your help ...
