Hi everyone!

Chris/W0CNX and I/KD8EQA will be making our second attempt at hiking up and
activating Peak 8108, W0C/SC-105, in the Wet Mountains tomorrow (Saturday,
the 31st). The last time we tried this, high winds blew us off the
mountain. Tomorrow, if the rain holds off, we should make it. If
successful, this will be the first time this SOTA peak is activated. We
anticipate starting our activation sometime between 11:00 - 11:30 AM local.
We should have good line-of-sight to the Central and Eastern Colorado
Springs area, with Cheyenne Mountain blocking our signal to the western part
of the city.

Also, in addition to activating on 146.52 MHz FM, I'm bringing my Kenwood
D-STAR HT with me, and will try (for the first time) activating on 145.67
MHz, the national calling frequency for D-STAR simplex. If you have a
D-STAR capable rig and can monitor 145.67 MHz, you may hear me and we can
try working each other using the D-STAR digital voice mode. Otherwise,
monitor 146.52 MHz FM, and we'll make contact the usual way. After
activating 2m frequencies, we'll finish on 10m. 20m. and 40m. SSB. You may
catch us via ground waves. We'll be posting our frequencies on SOTAwatch3:
<https://sotawatch.sota.org.uk/en/> https://sotawatch.sota.org.uk/en/ . So,
you can monitor this website for our callsigns to see what band, frequency,
and mode we are currently activating on.

Thanks to anyone who's available to monitor and chase us. you'll make our
day great!

73,

Ray / KD8EQA
